Good hotel with free Wi-Fi, a cozy bar, and a delicious restaurant. I remember how the staff helped me with directions during my first stay. I can't wait to come back for Christmas!

The couple who runs the hotel is extremely friendly. We arrived later than 10pm, and we were still welcomed with a selection of coffee/tea by the host. Breakfast is very good with a few choices rather than just full english breakfast, and the quality is one of the best we have had among the 10 places we stayed at during our trip to Scotland. The room is large and clean with comfortable beds and all necessary facilites including strong WiFi signal. Parking is also private and on-site. It is a real value for money choice!

Stayed in this wonderful small and quaint hotel during the trip. The location was favourable and magnificent, close enough to rail link to Glasgow, Newtonmore and a local pub. Plus it was max 20 mins walk to the lake.

Stayed for 1 night in this quaint and excellent place, enjoyed that. Our location was unbeatable in the nice dining area. And it was also so close to Newtonmore, and the centre. The staff was informative and responsive to requests. The breakfast was included and had plenty of meals. Could use their free parking;))

The people that run this place are truly friendly, and really make the location. I would stay here again for sure. I appreciate them making us feel at home, and I can't say enough... It is a really great place, and in a good spot for a layover between Edinburgh and Inverness. Very Fairly priced
Nothing... This bed and breakfast is worth every penny!!

Diverse menu options, spacious bathroom, good proximity to train station
Noisy fans from the kitchen in the evenings!!! Temperature control in common areas could be improved!!! Hot water problems during peak hours also need addressing!!! The decor feels outdated and requires modernization!!!

Glenavon house certainly deserves its 4 star rating. The rooms and ensuite bathroom were spacious, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Breakfast was a delight! As well as a cooked option, there was fresh berries, cereal and yogurt, all served in a lovely conservatory. We would certainly stay there again......
